Job description: SUMMARY We are looking for a detail-oriented and performance-driven Manager, Transport Vendor Management to take charge of monitoring, evaluating, and driving the performance of our contracted transport vendors. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring vendors meet agreed service levels and compliance standards, while working closely with internal operations teams to deliver seamless transportation services. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Track and analyze KPIs for all transport vendors, including on-time delivery, transit time adherence, vehicle turnaround time, trip reliability, and exception handling, etc. Conduct monthly and quarterly performance reviews with vendors; develop performance scorecards and dashboards to measure efficiency and reliability. Act as the first point of contact for transport-related escalations tied to vendor performance. Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to resolve service failures, delays, and non-compliance. Identify recurring service gaps and work with vendors to implement corrective and preventive actions. Propose and execute improvement plans aligned with SLAs. Ensure vendors adhere to all operational, safety, and statutory compliance requirements. Maintain up-to-date records of service level agreements, audit reports, and insurance. Collaborate with operations teams to ensure timely vehicle placement, load execution, and customer satisfaction. Organize periodic training sessions and workshops for vendors to align on operational standards, technology adoption, and compliance protocols. REQUIREMENTS: Graduate in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Administration. MBA or certification in supply chain/logistics is a plus. More than 6 years of experience in transportation operations or vendor management, preferably with a 3PL, logistics, or large distribution network setup. Proven experience in managing vendor performance and service-level compliance. Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with dashboards and operational data. Working knowledge of TMS, Excel, and reporting tools. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
