At the start of the future.Join us as our new Manager Tourism Strategy and Experiences for a brand-new opportunity!The Manager Tourism Strategy & Experiences will lead the Old Dubbo Gaol, Wellington Caves Complex and Visitor Information Centre teams within the Strategy, Partnerships & Engagement division. The role focuses on delivering high quality services and strengthening our community engagement with tourism experiences.Find personal and professional growth:The Manager Tourism Strategy and Experiences is responsible for the strategic management, experience delivery and financial performance of Council’s visitor experiences and services including the Old Dubbo Gaol, Wellington Caves and the Dubbo and Wellington Visitor Information Centres.The position is also accountable for identifying and driving partnerships with government, industry and operators to grow the visitor economy including experience development, cooperative destination marketing, packaging and developing services to target market segments, including education and group tourism and development of a comprehensive tourism strategy that aligns with the Dubbo Regional Council’s economic development priorities. What you’ll bringTo thrive in this role, you will need:Bachelor Degree in Tourism, Marketing, Business, or related discipline and/or experience commensurate to the qualification.Demonstrated experience in commercial business management and in the strategic management of a public/tourism facility.High level organisational skills with demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects and engaging with multiple stakeholders.Excellent skills in research and data analysis and the ability to undertake economic, business and financial analysis.Superior business management and communication skills with demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive, cooperative and productive relationships with staff, the community and key stakeholders.Experience in developing commercial and/or government partnerships to deliver improved business performance or customer service outcomes.We would also love you to have:
