Recent projects include: Invasion (Apple TV+), Palm Royale (Apple TV+), Video Nasty (BBC Three, Virgin Media, WDR), This Is the Tom Green Documentary (Prime Video), Orphan Black: Echoes (AMC), American Rust: Broken Justice (Prime Video), Beacon 23 (MGM+), Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields (Hulu), Downey’s Dream Cars (Max), Orphan Black (BBC AMERICA, CTV Sci-Fi Channel), Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry (Apple TV+), The Next Step (BBC, Corus, CBC), and Dino Ranch (Disney+, Disney Junior, CBC).THE ROLEThe Manager, Total Rewards and Systems will manage and advise on the best practices for total reward processes, contributing to the planning, design, implementation and administration of the Company’s compensation and benefit programs in Canada, the US and the UK.The position is responsible to lead, manage and operate all aspects of the Company’s HR Systems, people data structure and HR reporting, enabling the complete, accurate and timely processing and recording of people transactions, reliable employee information and records, and insightful reporting and analytics. In addition, the role will manage the company’s compensation and benefits programs and vendors. This role will work in close collaboration within the HR team, IT and payroll to ensure that HR systems and company operational processes are compatible with applicable security, privacy and employment legislation, policy and protocols established by the Company.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESCompensation

  • Lead the annual pay compensation cycle for salary and variable pay working closely with Finance and the executive team.
  • Lead the business planning process regarding timelines and budgets as well as contributing financial and accounting information, analysis, and recommendations.
  • Analyze market data, reviewing and providing recommendations for the development of salary budgets for annual salary increases, promotions, salary adjustments and net new hires.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and creation of the Company’s Total Reward policies.
  • Provide regular support and general compensation consulting to the HR team and senior leaders in areas such as market pay and analysis and consulting on new roles.
  • Advise and communicate to most levels of management on established policies and procedures, fixed/variable compensation programs, and compensation systems.
  • Lead the understanding and implementation of local or federal legislation compensation and benefits programs.

Benefits

  • Administer of the Company’s Canadian, US and UK benefit plans.
  • Manage and track all disability management claims and communicate with insurance providers and internal parties regarding claim status.
  • Participate in meetings with insurance providers and third-party consultants to discuss plan status and evaluate potential plan design changes during the Company’s annual review of the benefit programs.
  • Manage vendor relationship with Trinet (PEO) in US, escalating issues when appropriate and ensuring timely and employee centric service.

HR Systems

  • Inputs employee changes across the employee lifecycle (onboarding, offboarding, salary changes, LOA).
  • Provides strategic and operational insight for the development, implementation and maintenance of a HR systems and associated processes, procedures, and workflows.
  • Serves as the subject matter expert on the high-level business requirements, processes, and workflows of all HR systems.
  • Ensures successful systems implementation through change management best practices
  • Recommends and implements changes which create efficiencies in all aspects of HR functions and systems.
  • Ensures the successful execution of total rewards and HR systems by effectively managing people, processes, systems and tools.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 5+ years of Total Reward and HR Systems experience.
  • Experience in a Total Rewards role within the media industry an asset
  • Degree in Human Resources or related business discipline (a combination of education and progressive related experience may be considered)
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation an asset.
  • In addition to significant Canadian experience, international compensation and benefits experience is required (particularly in the US and UK).
  • Experienced and knowledgeable admin user of HRIS/HCM systems (Cloud based preferred such as ADP’s Workforce Now, Workday, Oracle, etc.)
  • Previous experience owning and administering HR systems and benefits programs across three countries.
  • Expert skills with Excel required. Proficiency with other Microsoft Office 365 tools required.
  • Capable of making decisions within guidelines and policies.
  • Strong customer focus skills and is comfortable implementing change and dealing with ambiguity.
  • Highly developed project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong business research, writing, presentation, and persuasion skills.
  • Strong data analysis skills, including the ability to create executive level presentations and dashboards.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead effective meetings in support of diverse projects and initiatives to a broad variety of audiences.
  • Generalist knowledge in other areas of Human Resources such as workforce management, change management, talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management and employee relations.
