The Strategy and Liaison Manager is a member of the NOCG leadership team and primarily provides strategic advice to the National Manager Organised Crime on organised crime and transnational organised crime.You will be part of the NOCG Leadership team which provides strategic direction to 240 staff and contributes to maintaining relationships with internal and external agencies and international partners.NOCG is mandated by central government to detect, investigate, confront, prosecute and disrupt the activities of serious and organised criminals, including those immersed in financial crime. This is achieved through collaboration and co-operation with law enforcement and other agencies situated both nationally and internationally.The Strategy and Liaison Manager focuses on the following areas:Key Accountabilities:Providing strategic advice and support to the National Manager Organised Crime in the development and implementation of organised crime strategyLead interagency liaison and initiatives, through the coordination of relevant forums and scheduled meetingsThe promotion of innovation within NOCGSupport the embedding of PHPF, Our Business and Wellness and Safety across NOCG including the leadership teamCoordinate NOCG leadership team meetings and provide ongoing support to the leadership teamAssist the National Manager Organised Crime with relevant information to assist in resourcing allocationsContribute to operational activity by ensuring relevant inter-agency support is availableLiaise internally with but not limited to the National Intelligence Centre, National Criminal Investigation Group, Policy, Strategy, MPES and ISG.Develop and contribute to briefing papers relating to Organised Crime and NOCG for the Police Executive, Government and external agenciesLeads and contributes to NOCG projectsThe role manages a small team including NOCG Detective Senior Sergeant Projects, NCOG Forensic Accountants, Capability and Development coordinator, Technology Coordinator, and a Management Assistant role which also supports project work as direct reportsHe aha taau e kawe mai | What you’ll bringWhilst we are looking for skills, knowledge and experience relevant to the role, we also place high importance on your state of mind, the alignment of your values with ours, your ability to contribute to and build high performing teams, and the way that you lead yourself or othersSpecial requirements:This role is set at Team Leader/Manager level, this means your key purpose is “to lead the activities for Our Business and enable people to deliver them.”To view the position description for this role please copy and paste this link into a new browser:Mo tātou | About usNew Zealand Police is the lead agency responsible for preventing crime and enhancing community safety.
