Job description: Job titleManager Operation & Maintenance Support – Musandam ClusterGradeStreamUpstreamFunctionMusandam Cluster – OperationsLocationOman – MuscatBudget control*OPEX and/or CAPEX and/or Revenue amount as relevant*Reporting toHead of Operations (B8 and MGP)Direct reports7Job purposeManages, plans and program of operations and maintenance responsibilities of assets in charge under general direction and with delegated authority from Head of Operations, (1) Managing all assigned operation and maintenance teams to support the operations in Musandam Gas Plant (MGP) and Block 8 Offshore Operations (MOGC) including the operation, the production delivery for B8, facility & maintenance coordination of the assets, wells and offshore platforms; (2) Provide expertise support to the Operation for designated assets including the operations, process, plant and platforms operation optimization, business and Hydrocarbon Allocation and forecasting to maintain the extraction production targets according to business set goals, (3) Provide expertise support in Maintenance disciplines for the assets including mechanical, Electrical & Instrument, under Maintenance Excellency standards, (4) plans and executes Operations and Maintenance programs within time frame and budget, and maintaining company standard reporting of budget, variances and operational updates in order to contribute with the optimum exploitation and administrating the resources while assures a sustainable value generation from the assets. Implementing all the HSE and process safety protocells and standards by respective team and endure there is high levels of engagements between the operations team and technical services, HSSE and project delivery teams. Participate and prepare all materials to both TCM and JMC/MC committees to seek their approvals for all annual programs or for any emergency support out of approved programs. Involved and/or coordinating all main stockholders meetings and expectations such as Musandam Power Company and any other power sectors entities related to gas supply agreements or any other alignments meetings for MGP and MOGC planned and unplanned shutdowns.The position will act in accordance with the Group’s Mission, Vision, Values & Strategies, as well as, policies, guidelines, and standards, supported by an IT Technology platform, HSE standards, Omani’s government & other legal justifications, and best international practices in consonance with national objectives.Main tasks and responsibilities
- Be involved and to establish the short and long-term strategy for the operation & Maintenance of Musandam Cluster (MGP / Block 8) upstream and translate it into operating plans with objectives and performance indicators for the measurement of success to support the achievement of the OQ ‘s strategic objectives.
- Provide input to solve operational and development related challenges, identify and mitigate operational risks during life of the assets.
- Champion work program through regulator processes to ensure delivery of activities and projects on time and within budget.
- Provide input (work program and estimation of budget) during the annual business plan cycles. May be asked to lead the business plan cycle(s) when required.
- Negotiate all agreements/matters relating to facility, operation, maintenance, production delivery related to (MGP / Block 8) to ensure the OQ’s objectives are achieved, and interests are protected.
- Lead and direct multiple teams of professionals to develop Operation set annual objectives (MPG Plants, Offshore Operation, Operation Support and Maintenance).
- Manage, motivate and develop the operations team, consisting of Omani and expatriate staff.
- Provide timely and accurate inputs for the development of management reports to support MD Musandam Cluster decisions.
- Drive and ensure the highest levels of HSE by implementing standards and procedures required.
- Drive and promote effective networking, sharing of best practice across the Operations value chain to O&M Excellence and Quality Execution.
- Work in collaboration with all Musandam Cluster teams and OQ department to maximise the assets value and achieve operations excellence.
- Lead the development of technical proposals for TSD further actions.
- Plan and establish required contracts to support the operations of MGP and Block 8.
- Ensure agreements are current and compliant with the internal and external financial and supply chain policy and standards
- Lead and manage the function’s workforce planning (hiring and deployment within the function), performance management and development of direct reports to maximize their potential and engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders inline and under the management of Musandam Cluster and OQ.
- Be involved with various stakeholders engagements (internal and external) for all operations related matters; in order to support the performance of the assets.
- Responsible for presenting all Operations aspects of the assets to internal and external stakeholders.

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (required)
- Postgraduate degree in Engineering (preferred)
Language requirementsExcellent knowledge of written, read, and spoken English (required) | Arabic – Native (desirable)Background and experienceCompetencies and skills
- A minimum of 12+ years’ experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with at least 10 years in operations and Maintenance, preferably in Upstream
- 3+ years in a management role (managing multiple teams)
- Experience leading teams of professionals, preferably in the oil & Gas industry
- Experienced in resource control, contract management and general management.

- Facility Management
- Operation surface facilities
- Maintenance surface facilities
- Production delivery

Technical:
- Computer literate with expertise in MS Office.
- Development of KPI’s,
- Oil & Gas industry and management experience – ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment.
- In-depth knowledge of the various oil and gas field procedures and practices.
- Driving continual improvements and engaging with numerous different business units within an energy company.
- Knowledge on production, facilities, completion, and drilling engineering.
- Well-developed technical understanding of all phases of a gas producing asset from subsurface to pipelines to processing.
- Knowledge of Reservoir, Drilling, Operations and Geology for effective interaction and support of current operations and acquisition review and evaluation.
- Commercial experience dealing with domestic and international supply contracts.
