Job description: Our client seeks an experienced design leader to oversee an Exhibition Design team on an interim basis. This role will require someone with hands on experience to lead an exhibition design team through a transition period and deliver on time-sensitive projects.This is a hybrid role, which requires the talent in the office 3 days onsite, note that if there are installations in process, more in-person days may be required.Advantages
This role provides the opportunity for supervision, and mentoring of an experienced design team as well as working collaboratively with a variety of other internal and external stakeholders to create experiences for visitors of all ages that also have a broad social impactResponsibilitiesLead project assignments and balance workload within a unionized environment.
Manage timelines, team deliverables, and vendor coordination for exhibitions
Ensure technical feasibility, budget tracking, and cross-departmental collaboration
Support installations and maintain design standards aligned with accessibility (ACA) and visitor engagement goals
This role requires hands-on design management experience (not necessarily arts-based), comfort managing production timelines and construction drawings, and familiarity with managing diverse creative teams.Qualifications
