This is a permanent opportunity to join the Native Vegetation Regulation branch!You will manage staff and resources in accordance with statutory and Departmental requirements whilst fostering a positive, energised, and stakeholder – focused culture.In this role you will manage a team within the Native Vegetation Regulation Branch, you will have primary responsibility for oversight and management of the regulation of native vegetation clearing under the Environmental Protection Act 1986, to ensure appropriate assessment and determination of applications for native vegetation clearing permits and clearing referrals, that are effective and enforceable and within target timeframes.You will manage staff and resources in accordance with statutory and Departmental requirements whilst fostering a positive, energised, and stakeholder – focused culture.You will contribute to the development and implementation of policies, strategies, plans, standards and programs for the effective regulation of native vegetation.You will also have a role in facilitating positive and effective relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including the community, with other government authorities and across the Department and manages the resolution of contentious issues that may arise from the assessment of native vegetation clearing permit application and clearing referral decisions.As a department we recognise that flexible working arrangements support effective work-life balance, empowers our people and increases team productivity.
