Based in Hong Kong, you’ll lead the planning and execution of a wide portfolio of events across Asia Pacific, with exposure to global programs and executive-level stakeholders.This role is hybrid role with a minimum of 2 days per week in office.What You’ll DoLead the delivery of 6–10 simultaneous events (virtual and in-person), typically 100–500 attendeesPartner with global and regional stakeholders to align event goals and manage expectationsDeliver timelines, budgets, vendor coordination, and post-event analysisProvide coaching and day-to-day direction to cross-functional and dotted-line team membersAct as the primary regional lead for APAC events, contributing to global planning and crisis managementWhat You’ll BringProven experience managing end-to-end event delivery, including oversight of concurrent events across the Asia-Pacific regionHave a strong track record delivering virtual events using Zoom, including speaker preparation, technical checks, and live execution; familiarity with Cvent is advantageousPossess hands-on experience delivering in-person events across Asia, including Mainland China, with a sound understanding of local venues, vendors, and cultural dynamicsOperate confidently in a global, matrixed environment, collaborating across time zones and cultures—including regular coordination with US-based managers and global teamsDemonstrate assertive yet diplomatic communication, with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations, hold appropriate boundaries, and influence outcomes without formal authorityOffer experience leading cross-functional teams, providing clear direction and feedback while fostering a collaborative, high-performing environmentCommunicate fluently in English (written and spoken); Mandarin is a strong asset for supporting Greater China programsAre detail-oriented, process-driven, and thrive in high-output environments where structure, contingency planning, and continuous improvement are critical to successWhy Join Us?Impactful ownership of the APAC events portfolioSupportive, collaborative global team (no internal competition here!)Marketing support is provided – your focus is purely on operational excellenceHybrid working with autonomy, flexibility, and trustWork/life balance and long-term career growthAt CFA Institute, we are committed to transparency and equity in our hiring process.
