If you’re looking for challenging work, smart colleagues, and a global employer with a social conscience, explore your potential at Invesco.Your Role:General Purpose of Position:We are looking to recruit a suitable candidate to join the accounting team for a real estate fund business unit based in Hong Kong.The Role will assume responsibility for all management and financial accounting and reporting of assigned Funds and their subsidiaries across the Asia Pacific region including Australia, Korea, China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan and New Zealand.

• Ensure production of timely and accurate quarterly financial reports for PE Funds and validation of accounts of the subsidiaries of the Funds in compliance with the company’s policies and procedures) with in-depth analysis and commentary
• Oversee production of annual statutory accounts for Funds and overseas subsidiaries
• Ensure compliance with all reporting and tax filing deadlines of the Fund and overseas subsidiaries
• Manage engagement with local service providers for all accounting related matters
• Preparation of accounts payable, review and settlement of invoices
• Contribute to the development and implementation of adequate and effective processes to improve the reporting cycles to ensure timely and accurate reporting
• Act as the main point of contact to external auditors and tax advisors and provide all required information, review and discuss as necessary
• Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time, including various ad hoc projects.

The Experience You Bring:

• University degree in Accounting or equivalent
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience preferably gained within the real estate sector
• Sound and up to date knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS); and USGAAP would be preferable
• Previous big 4 experience with knowledge of auditing and practices and principles
• Exceptional computer skills in the operation and functioning of all programs used by the organization, i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Investran and Yardi (real estate accounting software)
• Fluent in English and Mandarin; Japanese or Korean is added advantage
• Conscientious about timeliness of assignments and quality of work
• Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Able to analyze, organize, summarize and articulate complex legal and financial information
• Possess strong analytical and presentation skills
• Responsive team player with ability to quickly prioritize among numerous pressing tasks
• Task and goal oriented
• Organized, detailed and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Stress tolerance
• Able to identify red flags in issues and report to supervisor in a timely manner
• Actively seek and propose solutions to identified issues
