This role will focus on developing and executing a roadmap to enhance our record-to-report processes, mapping and transforming data into information that is actionable or deepens understanding of options or potential trade-offs for decision-makers across our portfolio/ventures and technology teams.What will you do?Performance Reporting and Analysis
- Develop and maintain consolidated ventures and technology rolling financial forecasts for scenario analysis
- Identify opportunities and risks in financial projections vs. plan to guide strategic decision-making
- Refine processes to make surfacing insights from non-interest expense (NIE) earlier and faster, and drive the build-out of robust cash reporting processes
Financial Planning and Budgeting
- Lead data aggregation, management and ‘pressure testing’ vs. historical actuals for NIE in the annual planning and budgeting processes in collaboration with Ventures and Technology Finance Leads
- Advise senior leadership on the setting of ambitious and achievable financial targets, surfacing key metrics or growth/leverage ratios and other potential macro factors
Process Optimization
- Own, improve or automate monthly close and recovery process for technology organization (also critical in accurate rolling financial forecast build)
- Simplify and automate dashboard refreshes for ventures’ scale-up metrics
- Own and enhance Technology and SaaS vendor licenses and related forecasting processes
- Identify, recommend, and implement ongoing process improvements
Strategic Support
- Partner with Business, Finance, and Engineering leaders and functional partners across the broader banks’ CFO, Risk, Tax and Treasury teams to improve workflows and governance
- Support M&A reporting activities and process improvements
- Provide strategic or operational finance support if needed based on work intake and team or venture capacity
What would you need?Must Haves:
- 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or business process improvement or related experience in a high growth SaaS or technology company
- Experience with project work related to new financial or reporting process implementation
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to interpret complex financial information and provide actionable insights
- Proactive mind with bias on action
Nice to Haves:
- Strong understanding of income statement integrity and accounting processes
- Pursuing or completed CPA or CFA designation (preferred)
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
