Job description: Job Accountabilities

• It’s a key role and closely work with HK management team on financial matters
• Lead the Financial Accounting & Reporting team to provide financial analysis and reporting support for General Insurance business
• In-charge of month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing
• Prepare and review monthly & quarterly financial and management reports, including sustainability and ESG reporting
• Support annual audit, Tax, IA and other regulatory filings
• Manage balance sheet items reconciliations; timely clearing of receivables, suspense account and unreconciled items with analysis
• Support insurance / non-insurance balances settlements and levies payments
• Maintain and enhance financial reporting processes, striving for continued efficiency and minimizing operational risk
• Assist in overseeing the documentation and implementation of internal control over financial reporting to comply with Group requirements
• Collaborate with various workstreams such as business functions, IT, Actuarial, etc. to achieve corporate initiatives

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines
• Qualified accountant with minimum 6 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, preferably in general insurance industry
• Knowledge and experience in HKRBC, IFRS 17, profits tax and BEPS 2.0 would be an advantage
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, people management and communication skills
• Good at building relationship with stakeholders and colleague at all levels
• Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese)
• Well versed software skills including MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint; experience in SAP would be an advantage
