Our commitment to our employees & clients is at the heart of everything we do.The Role:Within our COO Domain, the Data Management Office (DMO) is accountable for the oversight & effectiveness of the ANZ Data Standard, which is owned by COO Domain. We are currently seeking a Manager – Data Management Office to join our Sydney-based team. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Data Management Office.As the Manager – DMO, you will be at the forefront of driving data governance, quality, & compliance across the organisation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimise data usage, maintain consistency, & steer informed decision-making. In your capacity as Chair of the Regional Data Quality Working Group, you will serve as a subject matter expert, guiding best practices driving impactful outcomes in the data space.Top Role Accountabilities:Chair of the Regional Data Quality Working Groups

• Chair the ANZ Regional Data Quality Working Group
• Serve as Secretary to the Data Quality Committee
• Share insights, contribute to best practices, & advocate for data quality improvements

Data Quality & Issue Monitoring

• Define, review & monitor data quality metrics, identifying anomalies & discrepancies
• Provide oversight of the ANZ portfolio of issues to ensure compliance with standards, & support data stewards / data owners in the escalation of issues to ensure disputes are resolved & or funding is secured
• Implement corrective actions to improve data quality

Support to Data Owners

• Assist the data owner / stewards to meet their obligations relating to data risk, data management & data monitoring
• Assist data consumers (e.g., analysts, business users) & producers/providers & application owners in adhering to data governance policies
• Facilitate data onboarding, ensuring compliance with data standards

Data Architecture Engagement

• Collaborate with data architects to design & maintain data models
• Participate in data architecture discussions, providing domain-specific insights
• Ensure data architecture aligns with business needs & governance principles

Engagement with Transformation Programs

• Work closely with transformation initiatives (e.g., system upgrades, process changes)
• Manage data during organisational changes, ensuring smooth transitions
• Assess data impacts & collaborate with project teams

Data Definition & Asset Identification:

• Resolve conflicts related to data definitions & ensure consistency

To be successful, you will have:

• 7+ years’ experience in data/analytics & or risk related role
• Proficiency in data governance principles, data modelling, & data quality management
• Familiarity with relevant data privacy regulations & compliance requirements including CPG 235 & BCBS 239
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Analytical / BI capabilities with industry standard tools (Excel, Power BI) highly regarded
