ACE Money Transfer is a part of ACE Group of companies, which has a diversified portfolio including digital wallet services in the UK and real estate, advertising businesses, and software solutions in Pakistan.Assist the Unit head compliance in ensuring the organization’s compliance with anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorist financing (CTF), and other financial crime prevention regulations. This role includes identifying key regulatory risks related to financial crime within the company’s operations, reviewing relevant policies and procedures, and supporting the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) in submitting Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs). The Lead will also be responsible for overseeing investigations into any financial crime-related compliance issues identified.Key responsibilities include monitoring changes in financial crime-related laws and regulations within the industry, disseminating updates to relevant business functions, assessing the impact of new or revised regulations, and collaborating with other departments to address any compliance gaps.Report directly to the Unit Head compliance and will work closely with other departments to ensure that the business operates in full compliance with all relevant financial crime regulations.Job Responsibilities:
- Supporting the implementation of ACE’s Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and other financial crime-related regulations and policies across both UK and international offices.
- Maintaining the integrity of management information used across the company to mitigate financial crime risks in all products and locations.
- Assessing product-related financial crime risks and assisting in developing strategies to manage those risks effectively.
- Disseminating policies and procedures related to financial crime compliance activities to relevant departments.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends, techniques, and regulatory changes in the field of financial crime and proactively adapt strategies to address new challenges.
- Prepare and present regular reports to the unit head compliance and MLRO on financial crime risks, incidents, and mitigation efforts.
- Assisting the MLRO in submitting Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to the National Crime Agency (NCA) and other local FIUs.
- Ensuring that financial crime-related matters are properly addressed in new partnerships and agreements.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant financial crime laws, regulations, and contract requirements to ensure continuous compliance.
- Monitoring the development of regulatory policies and enforcement strategies regarding MSB operations across all jurisdictions where ACE operates, advising the unit head compliance on emerging financial crime risks.
- Ensuring that appropriate software and technology are in place to support effective oversight and monitoring of financial crime risk areas.
- Directing internal investigations into compliance issues related to financial crime, ensuring swift resolution.
- Assisting auditors (internal or external) with financial crime related reviews and audits, ensuring they have the necessary information and access.
