Job description: This position is responsible for executing international business strategies, plans, procedures and suites of key applications; optimize processes; and ensure operational efficiencies to meet the department objectives and deliver its projects.Responsibilities
Core responsibilitiesParticipate to develop and ensure proper execution of international business strategies in multiple international locations.
Analyze and optimize international business workflows to enhance processes and procedures.
Track departmental performance metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to effectively measure and enhance current processes and initiatives.Manage international continuous improvement initiatives, identify areas of improvement, and implement best practices to achieve operational excellence.
Manage issues and direct proper resolution on integration/adaptation and non-standard issues, including bridging between local and AD Ports Group corporate teams.Prepare managerial reports to represent the progress of the current business activities as well as proposed optimized plans, procedure and systems.
Stay updated about emerging technologies, competitor’s activities, and best practices in order to improve, optimize and standardize implementation processes.People Management Responsibilities:Offer coaching and mentoring to team members to enhance their capabilities and problem-solving skills.
Provide strong and visionary leadership, supervision, and guidance to the team, set clear expectations and create a culture of accountability.Ensure that the team has access to the necessary resources, including budget and technology, to support their projects.
Strategic Responsibilities:Provide support to develop and optimize international short and long-term business plans and strategies ensuring to be aligned with the international office objectives and expansion goals.Conduct data analysis and propose solutions that are cost-effective and drive business optimization.
QualificationsSkills & Knowledge:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a similar role.
Proficiency in English (written and spoken). Knowledge of additional languages relevant to the region is highly advantageous.Track record of successfully overseeing international change management and integration of acquisitions.
Strong leadership and decision-making abilities with an experience of successfully managing high-performing teams in multicultural environments, fostering inclusivity and leveraging diverse perspectives.Excellent communication skills.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex interlocking software systems, frameworks, accounting processes, human and cultural difference, prevention of fraud/principles of good governance, and ability to develop them into actionable insights and recommendations.Experience working in Ports & Shipping industry.
Proven experience in Business Process Design, mapping and implementation, development of well-structured procedure and policy documentation.Proven Experience in writing user-specifications in relation to IT systems/software applications.
