Job description: Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Aviation Management, or a related field

  • At least eight (8) years’ sales and marketing, business development and commercial services working experience within aviation industry; with which three (3) years in managerial level preferred
  • Strong understanding of aircraft line and base maintenance operations and regulatory requirement
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Cantonese; fluent Mandarin is an advantage
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • A good team player with excellent communication, people management and facilitation skills with the ability to drive changes and achieve continuous business improvement
  • Proactive, mature in nature, independent, self-motivated, strong analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills, customer focused and business minded
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite

ResponsibilitiesManager, Business Development & Commercial Services (MBDCS), directly reporting to the General Manager (GM), is responsible for:a) Business Opportunities Identification

  • research and identify new business opportunities, including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnership, and services

b) Business Strategies Development

  • create and implement effective business development strategies to achieve company goals and objectives
  • exploring business development, projects & investment in Hong Kong or overseas

c) Client Engagement and Networking

  • build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while identifying potential customers to expand the customer base
  • attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to represent the company and build professional relationships

d) Sales and Marketing

  • lead the sales process from prospecting to closing, ensuring alignment with company objectives
  • conduct market research and analysis to create business strategies and identify competitive advantages
  • prepare compelling proposals and presentations tailored to client needs and company capabilities and/or development

e) Contracting and Performance Tracking

  • taking part in initiation and negotiation of the contract terms and preparing all business contracts
  • develop, monitor and report on business performance metrics, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet targets
  • perform contract performance review to monitor and evaluate the actual operation and financial performance against business case assumptions, budget, and taking actions to remedy the shortfall incurred
  • renewing all business contracts before expiry
  • maintaining contract file and follow up procedures as required by the Company and the Group
  • ensuring any aircraft handling forms and IT systems are in line with contract terms and requirements

f) Collaboration

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, business resources, quality & safety team and shareholders, to ensure cohesive strategy execution

g) Customer Services

  • regularly meeting and seeking customers’ feedback and opinion on the services rendered / new services
  • handling customers’ complaint and compliment
  • contacting and following up with customers for Company internal requirements, e.g. aircraft handling form, credit facilities, debt repayment, interested parties declaration, etc.

h) Supplier Management

  • managing the relationship with Aircraft Interior Cleaning (AIC) service providers and/or other suppliers
  • overseeing and monitoring the AIC process and performance to meet customers’ requirements
  • tender project management, tender preparation, development tender assessment mechanism, negotiation strategies, contracting with the AIC service providers and/or other suppliers
