Job description: Job Description Our client, a well-established and respected professional services firm in Dartmouth, is seeking a Manager, Accounting & Advisory Services for a contract role to support ongoing client work.This role combines staff mentorship, file review, hands-on preparation, and strategic client support and is ideal for an experienced CPA who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about delivering quality tax and accounting services.Key Responsibilities for the Job:

• Review files including compilations, tax returns, and review engagements
• Provide feedback and guidance to staff and junior team members
• Mentor staff and assist with their technical development
• Prepare compilation and review engagement files
• Ensure financial information is accurate and tax returns are complete
• Conduct self-review and finalize internal checklists
• Draft correspondence and schedule client meetings
• Assist with onboarding and training of new team members
• Ensure professional development requirements are planned and completed
• Prepare tax and HST returns
• Conduct tax planning and respond to ad hoc client questions

Experience & Attributes for Success:

• CPA designation required
• Bachelor of Commerce or similar degree preferred
• Strong knowledge of ASPE, ASNPO, and GAAP
• Proficiency with CaseWare, TaxPrep, Profile, QuickBooks, Sage, and Microsoft Office
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and analytical skills
• Client-focused with a commitment to professionalism and confidentiality
