Health and education, with particular focus on women, are some of CARE’s core identified program areas in Pakistan, as part of its Long-Range Strategic Plan.Job Summary:This position will work in direct supervision of Senior MEAL Officer. MIS Assistant will also work closely with program teams. MIS Assistant will focus on establishing data management system for BRAVE project that includes development of databases for different work/program modalities. Main responsibilities are to design/recommend appropriate software/databases for record keeping of various programs and keep an up-to-date record of all partners and projects.Key Responsibilities:1-Data Management Systems (25% of the time):

  • With the technical support of the Sr. MEAL Officer, develop data management systems, tools, and processes for data collection that meet CARE Pakistan requirements.
  • Design/recommend appropriate software/databases for record keeping of various programs.
  • Make sure each of the project indicators has relevant assessment and data collection tools with relevant databases. The SADD (Sex, Age, Disability Disaggregated) principle is followed for all data collected.

2-Data Analysis (25% of the time):

  • Ensure that the data management system is functional and provides timely analysis for the Project Manager.
  • Ensure that your primary analysis helps the project staff and senior management to detect possible falls from facts.
  • Ensure that the reports generated are in proper standard formats, data is correct and accurate.
  • Summarize and sort progress and monitoring data by area, sector, location, partners’ projects, project type (emergency/development) donors, Gender, and other specifications

3-Report Generation (25% of the time):

  • Generate standard and ad-hoc reports as required by management.
  • Assist in the development and modification of reports.
  • Distribute reports to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Ensure report accuracy and clarity.

4-Administrative Tasks (20% of the time):

  • Maintain accurate records and files.
  • Respond to inquiries and requests from users and other departments.
  • Assist with inventory management of IT equipment.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

5-Other Responsibilities as Assigned (5 % of the time):Any other tasks or responsibilities based on organizational and programming needs as assigned by the Line Manager.A) Qualifications (Know How)Required:Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Sciences or Social Science with practical experience in designing and maintaining/up-date of various database software (i.e. MS Excel/Access, SPSS, etc)B) Experience/ Technical SkillsRequired:

  • A minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience with national/ international NGOs is required for this position.
  • Skill and experience of managing & analyzing databases related to social sector
  • Language proficiency in written and spoken English, knowledge of local languages would be desirable.
