Job description: Management AccountantUp to £45,000 per annumEnfield- HybridThis role offers an exciting opportunity for a part-qualified accountant to grow their skills in Management Accounting. The successful candidate will support financial reporting while taking responsibility for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the fixed asset register.Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.
Perform variance analysis and contribute to commentary on financial performance.
Conduct cost analysis and provide insights into profitability and operational efficiency.
Assisting to prepare financial summaries to aid decision-making by senior management.
Maintain the fixed asset register, ensuring all additions, disposals, and transfers are recorded accurately.
Perform periodic reviews and reconciliations of the fixed asset register to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Prepare monthly depreciation schedules and ensure accurate reporting in management accounts.
Prepare monthly HP schedules and ensure accurate reporting in management accounts.
Track and report on capital expenditure (CapEx) projects, ensuring they are within budget.
Assist in reviewing and improving processes for managing and reporting fixed assets.
Contribute to month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and journal postings.
Provide data for audits, focusing on fixed asset disclosures and compliance with regulations.
Assist in enhancing financial systems and processes
Support the finance team in ensuring accurate data across systems.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and audit requirements.
Strengthen controls around fixed asset management to mitigate risks.
Key Attributes:
Actively studying towards a recognised accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial software.
Keen attention to detail, especially when handling large datasets.
