My client is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join their supportive and friendly finance team. If you have a passion for analysis, a keen eye for detail, and a drive to support strategic business decisions, this role is for you.Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, analyse, and report monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
- Assist with the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring accurate financial planning across departments.
- Analyse financial performance by department and provide insight into key variances, trends, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Support senior management with financial reports to aid strategic decision-making.
- Maintain and improve internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Conduct financial analysis of current and past financial data, as well as forecasting future financial performance.
- Collaborate with department heads to monitor and control spending, ensuring alignment with budgets.
- Assist in preparing for year-end audits and liaising with external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and enhance financial models to support business growth and efficiency.
Key Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant (CA/CPA or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a management accounting or similar role.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
- High attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships across the business.
Desirable:
- Experience working within a commercial property or construction business or similar fast-paced environments.
- Knowledge of financial analysis tools and techniques.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial process automation.
