If you are looking for the opportunity to join our award-winning international family with over 16,000 stores across 28 markets in Asia and Europe, the ASW family welcomes you…Role Purpose:We are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to join our Ai Lab to develop scalable and maintainable data-driven solutions. The primary focus of the role is to productionalize machine learning models. You will be working closely with our Data Architects, Engineers and Data Scientist to build end-to-end ML applications and scale the solution to different countries.A typical day in this Role:

• Solve real-world business problems by designing and implementing reliable and scalable AI pipelines and systems that deliver impactful solutions
• Develop production-grade machine learning and generative AI projects that follow best engineering practices, prioritizing maintainability and flexibility
• Ensure AI solutions are robust, production-ready, and optimized for performance and reliability
• Monitor and enhance the performance of AI products, including optimizing data pipelines, model training workflows, inference processes, and API integrations
• Work closely with data scientists, data engineers, system architects, and product manager to translate technical requirements into innovative machine learning solutions
• Collaborate with system architects to design and develop next-generation machine learning platforms
• Foster an engineering mindset, promote best practices, and advocate for data-driven decision-making across the organization

Success will depend on:

• Knowledge in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Machine Learning or related fields
• Solid working experience as Machine Learning Engineer, Data Scientist, Python Developer or DevOps Engineer
• Experience in developing and optimizing end-to-end ML pipelines (from data ingestion to model deployment) and support and maintain product in production
• Proficient in Python, Spark and packages such as Pandas, NumPy, PyTorch, sklearn
• Proficient in Python code packaging and software testing tools such as setuptools, unitest, pytest, etc
• Proficient in containerization, CI/CD and team collaboration using git workflows
• Experience in Python API frameworks as Flask, FastAPI
• Experience in optimizing performance of data pipelines written in SQL, PySpark or Python
• Experience in monitoring system and model health using tools such as Grafana, ELK, MLFlow, ClearML
• Experience with MLOps (e.g. ML model monitoring, logging, versioning, etc.)
• Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines
