Program BackgroundThe Solomon Islands-Australia Partnership for Health is a four-year initiative from January 2025 to December 2028. This program succeeds the Health Sector Support Program Phase 3 (HSSP3), which operated from 2016 to 2024. The new partnership focuses on enhancing provincial health service delivery and strengthening the Ministry of Health and Medical Services (MHMS) capacity to implement the National Health Strategic Plan (NHSP) 2022–2031. The Clinical Governance Adviser will guide and assist in:1. Enhancing and implementing a clinical governance framework for the Solomon Islands’ Hospitals, initially focusing on the NRH.2. Strengthening the quality and safety of clinical services through robust systems and protocols.3. Enhance coordination and integration of Australian clinical partnerships to the clinical governance framework.4. Build capacity within the hospital leadership teams to sustain improvements in measuring and reporting clinical service outcomes.Click on the link to access the full Terms of Reference for this position:About YouYou will need to have the following:Education:· A degree in Medicine is preferred; applicants with an Advanced degree in Public Health, Nursing, Health Administration, or a related field will be considered.Experience:· A minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical governance, patient safety, or health systems strengthening, particularly in low-resource settings.· Proven ability to design and implement clinical governance frameworks and strategies at the institutional level.As required for all Short Term Personnel (STP) roles, the successful candidate must maintain insurance cover, including but not limited to: public liability, professional indemnity, property insurance, and worker’s compensation or workplace personal accident and illness. Proof of insurance cover in the form of certificates of currency must be provided.Remuneration
