La Trobe University invites applications for a Lecturer (Level B, Teaching Focused) in the School of Computing, Engineering, and Mathematical Sciences at our Melbourne (Bundoora) campus.About the Role: As a Lecturer, you will:
- Deliver innovative undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Statistics and Data Science.
- Engage students through interactive lectures, tutorials, computer labs and workshops across online, blended, and in-person modes.
- Design and evaluate impactful curriculum initiatives to enhance employability skills.
- Mentor other academics in best teaching practices and contribute to scholarly activities at La Trobe’s Centre for Learning and Teaching.
What We’re Looking For:
- A PhD in a relevant discipline.
- Proven success in teaching and curriculum development, demonstrated by strong student feedback or awards.
- Evidence of innovative teaching methods that enhance the student experience.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
