And we are collaborating closely with our partners to drive the systemic change in the education to employment spaceWE ARE NOW LOOKING FORLearning and Development ManagerJOB OVERVIEW:The Learning and Development Manager is a full-time role that will have a dual reporting line to the Head of Learning & Development and the respective Project Director(s) of various projects at Generation Hong Kong. You will play a crucial role in shaping our pre-employment training, and educational programs and ensuring their effectiveness. This position is responsible for developing and evaluating the curriculum, sourcing and managing instructors, overseeing training service providers, and collaborating across teams to drive innovation in our education-to-employment initiatives.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in curriculum development, instructional design, and the facilitation of impactful learning experiences. He/She will leverage his/her expertise to support a variety of programs within Generation Hong Kong, enabling them to enhance the knowledge, skills, and capabilities of our learners, especially in future-oriented industries. Critically, this role will also be responsible for building and instilling a culture of continuous improvement within our organization, ensuring that the values of innovation, agility, and learner-centered education are deeply embedded.This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in empowering our learners to secure life-changing careers. By strengthening the curriculum and the ‘behavioral skills and mindset’ competencies of our programs, the Learning and Development Manager will make a tangible impact on the lives of underserved individuals and contribute to bridging the education to employment gap in Hong Kong.WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Curriculum Development and Product Ownership: Identify market needs, create new curriculum products, and manage the entire product lifecycle
  • Instructor Management: Coach and evaluate instructors to ensure quality of training, oversee recruitment and onboarding processes
  • Training Service Provider (TSP) Management: Develop partnerships, manage agreements, and ensure high-quality instruction across all programs
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct focus groups, analyze training outcomes, and lead pilot programs
  • Cross-functional Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Participate in strategic discussions and align curriculum with market needs and program delivery; Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to achieve program goals
  • Leadership and Supervision: Lead and coach a subordinate to support his/her in instructional design, evaluation of curriculum and training service provide management, as well as other administrative tasks

DESIRED PROFILE:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in curriculum development and instructional design
  • Proven track record in managing and developing instructors
  • Strong project management and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Experience in the education technology or workforce development sector
  • Passion for innovation and driving systemic change in education
  • Team player who is self-reflective and open to frequent feedback from internal and external stakeholders
  • Entrepreneurial, solution-oriented, proactive mindset required of start-ups that takes ownership for targets and seeks opportunities for improvement / innovation of projects
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English & Chinese (Cantonese) is a must.
  • Knowledgeable of current trends in adult learning, education, industry challenges and the stakeholders in the skills training landscape
  • Experience in working with youth with Special Education Needs and/or in the elderly care industries will be an advantage
