Our client is a leading manufacturer of high-performance hot water systems with a long-standing reputation for quality and innovation. Based in Melbourne’s East, the company serves a diverse range of industries, including the commercial, residential, and agricultural sectors.
Your new role
As a LEAN Manufacturing Engineer, you will be at the heart of optimising manufacturing processes specifically for hot water systems. Your key responsibilities will include:Analysing manufacturing processes to pinpoint areas ripe for improvement
Implementing lean manufacturing techniques to streamline production and boost efficiency
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimise product flow and reduce lead times
Conducting time studies and rolling out improvements to increase throughput
Providing training to employees on lean principles and practices
Participating in continuous improvement initiatives and Kaizen events
Liaising closely with Design Engineers to ensure seamless integration of new developments into the manufacturing process
Leading the charge on new developments in the process, driving innovation and excellenceWhat you’ll need to succeedA bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong grasp of lean manufacturing principles
Experience working within a hot water system or steel fabrication environment would be highly regarded
Excellent project management, data analysis, and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and leadership abilities
