Global Service Supply Chain
Tools Region APC INThe Global Tools Department operates over six tool warehouses across various countries worldwide, including the Tools Region APC IN. The India Tools Warehouse plays a critical role by supplying Installation & Commissioning tools to the Project Department and Operation & Maintenance tools to the Service Department.Our mission is to deliver high-quality, reliable tools to our stakeholders, enabling them to execute construction and service activities in a safer, smarter, and more efficient manner. By achieving this, we aim to support Vestas in sustaining its position as a global leader in the wind energy sector.Responsibilities
- Map and analyze tools and equipment flow using Value Stream Mapping (VSM) to eliminate inefficiencies.
- Focus on value-adding activities and streamline processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Implement Just-In-Time (JIT) practices to ensure tools are available exactly when needed, minimizing excess inventory.
- Facilitate Kaizen workshops to drive continuous improvement and foster a culture of innovation.
- Establish Kanban systems for visual inventory management and optimal replenishment.
- Apply 5S principles to maintain clean, organized, and efficient workspaces with regular audits.
- Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for tools handling, calibration, and repair.
- Oversee Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Utilize pull systems to align tools supply with real-time demand and avoid stock imbalances.
- Lead Lean Six Sigma initiatives to identify process improvement opportunities and reduce waste.
- Promote Total Quality Management (TQM) principles to ensure consistent tools and equipment quality.
- Cross-train team members to build a flexible workforce and enhance productivity.
- Foster supplier collaboration to align with Lean principles, improve lead times, and reduce costs.
- Leverage digital tools and IoT solutions for real-time tracking and efficient tools management.
- Balance workloads through load leveling (Heijunka) to ensure consistent delivery performance.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or Engineering
- 5-8 years of experience in supply chain or operations, with 2-3 years in Lean implementation.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification.
- Additional certifications like APICS CSCP or PMP are advantageous.
- Proficiency in SAP, WMS, and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
- Knowledge of Lean tools such as 5S, VSM, and Kanban.
- Familiarity with supply chain operations in industries like Wind, Automobiles or Construction.
- Willingness to travel and work across diverse environments.

- Analytical skills to identify process gaps and implement practical solutions.
- Leadership and team-building abilities to drive cultural change and engagement.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for training and reporting.

- Proficient in project management to ensure timely execution of Lean initiatives.
- Adaptability to dynamic operational challenges and evolving priorities.
