Job description: MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESKey responsibilities: ▪ Follow-up on civil cases, whether the authority is a plaintiff or defendant, preparing statements of claims, answer, comment and provide notes, etc., and follow-up with the Government’s Litigation Department. ▪ Follow-up on criminal cases, prepare public prosecution petitions, and review seizure reports sent by sectors in preparation for their registration in the Public Prosecution. ▪ Providing legal support to the Authority’s employees in what motivates them from criminal cases resulting from the performance of their job duties. ▪ Assist in conducting research and analysis regarding issues or inquiries related to the affairs of the authority in light of the legislation in force in the country.Assist in the preparation of legal studies to express a legal opinion on issues referred from other agencies, sectors or various departments. ▪ Assist in following up the procedures that have been taken regarding administrative investigations that may be attributed to the Authority’s employees. ▪ Perform any other duties as requested by the reporting manager.Administrative responsibilitiesStrategic Planning o Support with and maintain awareness of section/unit objectives and plans inline with division/section’s long and short-term strategy, goals and objectives and annual and operational plans o Maintain knowledge of new and existing KPI requirements as an individual employee ▪ Budget Management o Provide input towards budget preparation for the section/unit ▪ Corporate Performance Management o Achieve the objectives of the unit/section and support colleagues in achieving the same o Proactively communicate the annual objectives and KPIs to section’s employees o Engage with the unit/section head to identify opportunities to improve unit/section performanceOrganizational responsibilitiesGovernance o Maintain awareness and adherence to the unit/section policies and procedures o Ensure compliance of the unit/section to the guidelines defined by division/section’s, such as, HR, legal, risk and quality assurance in addition to EAD’s framework and DoA o Participate in the periodic audit of the established policies and procedures ▪ Management Reporting o Contribute to the development of periodic reports, as requested by unit/section heads o Propose and recommend remedial activities to manage any quality or non- compliance issues that arise during the review of periodic reports ▪ Technology Management o Support in the process of identifying unit/section’s technology-related needs that helps drive automation within the unit and direct line of work ▪ Information Security o Read and understand the Information Security policy to ensure compliance ▪ Change Management o Support the execution of change management activities in the unit/section ▪ Professional Development o Proactively identify and seek professional development opportunities to improve leadership and technical skills pertaining to the direct line of work and inline with EAD’s values/behaviorsParticipate in performance appraisals and reflect on the feedback and recommendations provided by the line manager for development ▪ Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) o Ensure awareness of and adherence to all relevant occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines, policies and procedures o Comply with all relevant OHS guidelines, policies and procedures, implement integral elements of the OHS management system as applicable to the job and ensure incidents and hazards are reported in a timely manner o Provide support in conducting OHS audits and inspections to ensure a healthy and safe work environment ▪ Business Continuity o Support in providing expert technical support as required by senior management / and business continuity in order to enhance organizational agility and resilience, and promote business continuity ▪ Environmental Emergency and Crisis O Support in providing expert technical support as required by senior management / and Environmental Emergency and Crisis in order to manage environmental emergency and crisis management system Effectively, through advance preparedness, effective emergency response, prevention, and recovery planning, in order to prevent the occurrence of serious threats that may have an impact on the environment in the short or long term
