Moreover, the cooperative invests in innovative solutions such as digital tools and artificial intelligence to optimize production processes and improve efficiency across its supply chain.Land O’Lakes is looking for big thinkers and big dreamers to help them imagine the future of food and agriculture.Lead Software Developer (Microservices & AKS)Position Purpose:We seek a seasoned Lead Software Developer focusing on building microservices in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). The ideal candidate is well-versed in the latest industry best practices and has extensive experience with cloud and microservice development. This role requires broad skills, including solid knowledge of UML, API standards, Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Expertise in Azure or AWS is a must.Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C# code.
• Develop and deploy microservices on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Implement robust services / APIs to power the application.
• Employ industry best practices for software development.
• Develop and maintain UML diagrams and technical documentation.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle using Agile methodologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Contribute to all development lifecycle phases concept, design, build, deploy, test, release, and support.
• Perform code reviews and enforce good coding practices.
• Collaborate with the DevOps team to automate software processes and ensure infrastructure independence.
• Implement secure coding practices and comply with data privacy standards.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to the engineering team’s growth.

QualificationsRequired Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in C#/.NET development.
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Strong knowledge of building and deploying microservices in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Solid understanding of UML and ability to produce precise, concise design documents.
• Proficiency with API standards and best practices.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and understanding of Git branching strategies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Certifications in Azure or AWS.
• Experience with other programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., Angular, React) is a plus.
