There are also offices in Bulgaria. You are offered completely remote cooperation with the ability to work from anywhere in the world.Your tasks on the position:

  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining database systems to support business applications
  • Ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, and backup solutions for critical databases
  • Monitoring database performance, identifying bottlenecks, and optimizing query execution
  • Leading and mentoring a team of database administrators and developers
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
  • Managing database technologies for MS SQL Server (mandatory), PostgreSQL (optional)
  • Working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure to manage cloud-based databases

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in database administration, including leadership roles
  • Proficiency in database architecture, performance tuning, and optimization
  • Expertise in SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java)
  • Hands-on experience with database replication, partitioning, and clustering
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for database deployments
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • English B2+
