There are also offices in Bulgaria. You are offered completely remote cooperation with the ability to work from anywhere in the world.Your tasks on the position:
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining database systems to support business applications
- Ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, and backup solutions for critical databases
- Monitoring database performance, identifying bottlenecks, and optimizing query execution
- Leading and mentoring a team of database administrators and developers
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
- Managing database technologies for MS SQL Server (mandatory), PostgreSQL (optional)
- Working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure to manage cloud-based databases
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in database administration, including leadership roles
- Proficiency in database architecture, performance tuning, and optimization
- Expertise in SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java)
- Hands-on experience with database replication, partitioning, and clustering
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for database deployments
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- English B2+
