Job description: Lead Business Case WriterLead a small team – People Management & Technical LeadershipNew & Exciting Permanent Opportunity within Wellington based EPMOSupport defining problems and solutions using investment logic and evaluation to determine best ROI.Accountabilities include:

• Bring your own strength in business case capability and lead a small team within this proud and essential services employer, to help the organisation make informed investment decisions.
• An experienced people lead, you will be responsible for people management and leadership accountabilities.
• Your deliverables include business case framework and capability, business case development, developing detailed business cases for proposed projects and initiatives, outlining objectives, benefits, costs, risks and return on investment (ROI).
• Analysis of financial data and performing costs-benefit analysis to justify project investments & the presentation to senior management and ensuring they align with the strategic goals and objectives.
• Excellent relationship management with internal customers and the ability to demonstrate a highly collaborative approach.

Experience & qualifications required:

• Proven experience in leading teams that require both people management and technical leadership
• Proven experience in establishing the team rhythm resulting in plans and delivery and managing multiple projects within agreed timelines
• 7-10 years of experience in business analysis, business case or project management within the public sector
• Strong ability to translate highly technical information using excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong understanding of the principles of financials, budgeting, forecasting and ROI
• Proven experience in using and applying Better Business Case and investment logic mapping methodologies.
• Modelling capability and using data visualisation tools (desirable).
• Certification in project management ie. PMP or business analysis ie. CBAP
