Job description: Join Austria’s newest public technical university and shape the future of research and education in digital technologies. The interdisciplinary environment at IT:U fosters innovation in AI-powered robotics and Human-Robot Interaction (HRI). We are looking for a passionate robotics expert to establish and manage the Robotics Lab “Rob”. This lab is a key part of the Learning Labs, offering students hands-on experience in robotics and supporting cutting-edge research.Ihre Aufgaben

• Develop and manage the Robotics Lab, including hardware, software, guidelines, and educational projects
• Operate and maintain lab equipment, ensuring smooth execution of student projects
• Establish and implement safety procedures, including training for students and faculty
• Manage the lab’s budget and coordinate with vendors for maintenance and repairs
• Collaborate with researchers conducting experiments and support research projects in the lab

Ihr Profil

• Relevant academic education, ideally a PhD degree or comparable practical experience
• Proficiency in ROS (Robot Operating System) for programming and controlling robotic systems
• Previous experience working with mechanical, electronic and robotics hardware, preferably in an educational or research environment, is appreciated
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures, including relevant certifications if applicable
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
