Term: 1 -2 month contract position
Shift: Monday to Thursday – 8 am – 4:30 pm, Friday – 8 am – 2 pm
Pay Rate: $20 per hour (based on experience)Job Summary:

• Seeking a Junior Buyer to join their purchasing team on a short-term contract (1-2 months) to help manage a current backlog
• The ideal candidate must be eager to learn. Experience in manufacturing and SAP is an asset but not required

Responsibilities:
Duties include but are not limited to:

• Preparing P2P (Procure-to-Pay) forms as required
• Processing purchase orders for non-inventory items (e.g., McMaster, Uline, etc.)
• Maintaining relationships with maintenance vendors, including plumbers, electricians, cleaners, and landscapers
• Reviewing invoices and processing receipts for non-inventory purchase orders
• Assisting the purchasing team with document filing and scanning
• Supporting purchasing and finance teams with credit card statement reconciliation
• Contributing to inventory control by entering data into M3, generating cycle counts, and posting updates
• Managing supplier quality forms, ensuring certifications remain current and requesting renewals as needed
• Following up on delayed supplier deliveries
• Placing inventory product orders as required

• Strong written and verbal business communications abilities
• Self-starter with ability to drive improvement, meet timeliness and objectives
• Identifying problems working with teams to solve through leading actions collaboratively
• Ability to analyze and communicate requirements
• Ability to apply Supply Chain knowledge and experience to current environment and modify as needed
• Ability to make timely decisions and take action
• Ability to provide information regarding tasks, plans, schedule and strategy
• Customer service oriented

NOTE:

• This position involves working with controlled goods and is subject to Canada’s Controlled Goods Program (CGP) regulations
• As a result, preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents who meet the necessary security clearance requirements
