In this role, you will assist more senior accountants with the day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries and reconciliations. You will also assist in the maintenance of sub-ledgers, as well as be involved in the population of financial reports. You will also participate in the preparation of quarterly and year-end audit schedules.What you will be doing:Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recordedUpdate accounts receivable and issue invoicesUpdate accounts payable and perform reconciliationsPerform re-class between prepaid expenses and expensesPerform reconciliations of various accountsAssist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelinesAssist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records, etc. as assignedUpdate financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when neededPrepare and submit weekly/monthly reportsAssist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closingsAssist with other accounting projectsWhat you must have:Proven experience as a junior accountant0-2 years of accounting experience in a large manufacturing environment, or in a major CPA firmExcellent organizing abilitiesGreat attention to detailGood with numbers and figures, and an analytical acumenGood understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practicesExcellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer softwareBachelor’s in accounting, finance or a relevant fieldFluent in French and English (verbal and written).Salary/Rate Range: $35.65 – $37.95/hr T4For more information about TEEMA and to consider other career opportunities, please visit our website at
