Job description: We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our technology team as an IT Technician, specialising in Gaming Networks and Gaming Environments. This opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about gaming technology, who thrives in a fast-paced setting, and enjoys problem solving in both online and offline gaming realms. As an IT Technician, you will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimising our gaming infrastructure to deliver an exceptional, uninterrupted gaming experience for users in a private, luxury environment.Key Responsibilities –

• Install, configure, and maintain gaming PCs, consoles (PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo), and associated hardware as required, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.
• Monitor and support all aspects of the gaming network environment, including internet connectivity, Wi-Fi, and local network components to ensure reliability and latency-free play.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to hardware, software, games, peripherals, and connectivity for users, addressing problems promptly and thoroughly.
• Update and maintain gaming system software, operating systems, and security patches in line with best practices for privacy and protection..
• Advise and provide expert recommendations on new gaming equipment, upgrades, accessories, and emerging technologies to ensure the environment remains cutting-edge.
• Manage digital accounts and licences for online gaming services, subscriptions, and content purchases, ensuring access is seamless and secure.
• Document all procedures, system changes, and solutions accurately to support ongoing IT continuity and improvement.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised technology workspace at all times, upholding all relevant safety and confidentiality standards.

Skills and Experience Required for an IT Technician – Gaming Environment

• Previous experience in an IT Technician, technical support, or network administration role supporting gaming systems and environments.
• Strong working knowledge of PC hardware and software troubleshooting, gaming platforms, and console technologies.
• Familiarity with home or small office networking, wireless protocols, and security systems relevant to gaming environments.
• Solid understanding of installing, upgrading, and optimising games, platforms, and related multimedia equipment.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a proactive approach to problem solving and fault-finding within gaming networks.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, able to interact positively and professionally with users of all ages and backgrounds.
• Confident working independently, discreetly, and handling confidential account information in a private setting.
• Commitment to ongoing learning in evolving gaming and IT technologies.
• IT qualifications (e.g. CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco) or relevant certifications in gaming/technology preferred.
• Flexibility to support occasional evenings or weekends if required for updates or urgent issue resolution.
