Job description: On behalf of our Public Sector Client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for an IT Technical Project Manager to join our Client’s team on a 12-month contract basis, with the possibility of extension. This role is Hybrid, requiring at least two days per month onsite in Richmond, BC.Summary of the RoleOur client is seeking two experienced Technical Project Managers to oversee multiple large-scale technology infrastructure projects. The ideal candidates will have an agile mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and accountability for the entire project scope, including team leadership, resource management, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication.Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of one or multiple infrastructure projects to align with strategic objectives.
• Provide leadership by building, coaching, and motivating project team members.
• Oversee the full project lifecycle from initiation to deployment across multiple initiatives.
• Develop and manage project planning, vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, risk, and reporting.
• Define and manage project scope, stakeholder engagement, vendor selection, and contract management.
• Prepare detailed project plans, reports, and presentations for various stakeholders, including senior management.
• Monitor and control project outcomes, identifying and resolving dependencies and critical path issues.
• Ensure quality control processes are followed and participate in issue resolution.

Core Requirements

• 7+ years of experience managing large technology infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs.
• Proven experience in vendor management, contract negotiations, and stakeholder engagement.
• Expertise in risk management, budgeting, and project lifecycle methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with Agile and traditional project management frameworks.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
• Experience in the public sector or large enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and IT service management best practices.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and presentation skills.

TermsThis is a 12-month contract position with the possibility of extension. The role follows a Hybrid work model, requiring at least two days per month onsite in Richmond, BC.
