Job description: IT Risk and Compliance Management Specialist – DTS – 009Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba – OnsiteOur government client within the Digital and Technology Solutions division is seeking an experienced IT Risk and Compliance Management Specialist to define, develop, and implement a comprehensive IT Risk and Compliance Management function. This is a contract position with an initial 6-month term and potential extensions based on project requirements.What You’ll Get
- Contract Duration: Initial 6-month term with potential renewal.
- Work Environment: Onsite at a central location in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
What You’ll Do
- Define, develop, and implement the IT Risk and Compliance Management framework, policies, and tools.
- Deliver training to IT executives, leaders, and business leaders on IT Risk and Compliance Management frameworks and processes.
- Conduct IT risk assessments to identify and mitigate risks to acceptable levels.
- Establish formal IT Risk and Compliance reporting at organizational or line-of-business levels.
- Publish enterprise-level IT Risk Reports and present findings to IT executives annually.
- Perform independent risk, compliance, and controls assessments as requested.
- Develop and implement IT policies, standards, and controls across all divisions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate the IT Risk and Compliance function with Enterprise Risk Management.
- Provide ongoing support and recommendations for risk and compliance improvements.
- Perform additional business analysis or IT compliance duties as assigned.
What You’ll BringMinimum Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Commerce, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 10+ years of experience as an IT Risk and Compliance Management Specialist.
- 5+ years of experience leading an IT Risk and Compliance Management function.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of IT risk, security, and compliance frameworks, such as COBIT, ISO 27002, ITIL, and TOGAF.
- Proven ability to handle highly confidential matters.
- Critical thinking and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and investigative skills for managing complex issues.
- Strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain collaborative partnerships.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under strict deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation abilities.
