Job description: Job DescriptionYou will join the Global Technology Sourcing team, contributing to the collaboration with colleagues and key leaders across the IT function. This role will assist in fostering relationships with strategic suppliers to ensure alignment with business strategies and effective sourcing execution. You will support sourcing initiatives related to software, professional services, and hardware, aiming to achieve cost savings and support our organization’s internal business systems and will work closely with IT stakeholders.Responsibilities:
- Provide sourcing support to the software IT team, including IT contract negotiation assistance, pricing analysis, contract review, and contract administration
- Interface with internal IT stakeholders to support and facilitate contract negotiations
- Assist in vendor management efforts addressing commercial, service, and quality issues
- Help coordinate the RFP process for strategic sourcing requests by utilizing e-Sourcing tools
- Aid in the negotiation of IT contracts to accurately capture IT business requirements
- Maintain and track savings and progress for all IT projects within Procurement’s Savings Tools
- Contribute to sourcing plans that engage and include diverse suppliers in the US and globally
Primary activities include, but are not limited to:
- Support Leadership – Collaborate with senior stakeholders to help develop and implement sourcing strategies that ensure alignment, compliance, and effective delivery of business performance
- Process Support – Assist in the realization of sustainable sourcing management, supplier value management, contract management, and supplier diversity
- Performance Contribution – Support competitive sourcing events (RFQs, RFIs, RFPs) and participate in vendor selections, fostering effective contract negotiations
- Relationship Building – Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, adapting interactions to meet their business needs effectively
- Change Management Support – Uphold high-quality change management practices among customers and stakeholders
- Global Strategy Assistance – Support the adoption of the company’s global procurement strategy and category management
- Diversity Engagement – Participate in efforts to promote diversity through relationships and spend with diverse suppliers
- Supplier Value Contribution – Assist in implementing supplier value management processes to enhance supplier performance, encourage innovation, and ensure continuous improvement
Required Experience, Education and Skills:
- Master degree in a related technical field (e.g., IT, Finance, Accounting, Business, or a similar discipline preferred)
- 2-4 years of work experience in IT and/or IT Purchasing
- Basic knowledge of the Software as a Service (SaaS) model
- Familiarity with commercial and legal contract terms and conditions negotiation
- Effective communication skills in English; proficiency in an additional European languages
- Experience supporting Procurement processes and vendor management
- Basic experience in conducting financial analysis
- Proficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint)
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to contribute creatively and innovatively to problem-solving
- Capacity to work independently in a fast-paced, global matrixed environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects
- Cultural awareness and the ability to collaborate with international teams, often remotely
- Demonstrated ability in stakeholder engagement and collaboration
- Exposure to Ariba and/or SAP preferred
- Experience in IT project management and software implementation projects is desirable
