About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced IT/ERP/Workday Project Manager to oversee several in-flight initiatives focused on Workday Payroll. The successful candidate will have a strong background in managing complex IT projects, particularly within HRIS or payroll systems, and will bring a structured, delivery-focused approach to project management.
You will be responsible for ensuring that milestones are met, risks are managed, stakeholders are engaged, and deliverables are achieved on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the delivery of multiple concurrent Workday Payroll projects through their full lifecycle.
- Develop, maintain, and track detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Prepare and present regular status reports to leadership and key stakeholders.
- Ensure projects adhere to internal governance standards and methodologies.
- Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and external partners as needed.
- Drive stakeholder engagement, change management, and adoption strategies.
- Champion best practices and continuous improvement in project delivery.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience managing complex IT projects across multiple sectors, preferably with a focus on HR, Payroll, or Financial systems.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects involving Workday Payroll (highly desirable).
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and/or Agile methodologies.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams including business, technical, and vendor stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Professional Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) – required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field (preferred).
Preferred Skills:
- Workday certification (nice to have, but not mandatory).
- Experience in change management and organizational readiness activities.
- Previous experience working within regulated industries (e.g., financial services, healthcare).
This contract is outside IR35
