Job description: Job Description:We currently have an opportunity for a Database Developer to join our team. This position exists to re-implement and support the Database within the Social Infrastructure and Citizen Services business unit.The role of Database Developer is to Analyse requirements, Design, Build, and Support the implementation of the uplift deliverables primarily through use of SQL Server technologies.Responsibilities:The role has a broad remit, with key responsibilities outlined below:

  • Investigating, resolving and prioritisation of scoped items in collaboration with Downer management (Application Managers)
  • Work closely with the business, other IT resources and vendor partners to ensure that Delivery is managed, using Iterative methodologies and ceremonies, aligned to agreed priorities and available capacity.
  • Adherence within applications to IT Processes & Policy in terms of Security, Change Management & License compliance.
  • Implementing working practices to support iterative/agile development and/or cloud-based applications.
  • Monitoring performance of databases and applications.
  • Ensuring identification and reporting of Key Constraints, Assumptions, Risks, Dependencies and Issues derived from project/business requirements.

Qualifications:What you’ll bring

  • A tertiary qualification – Business / IT or equivalent.
  • Extensive IT and business/industry work experience.
  • Expert level experience in SQL Server and T-SQL Language.
  • Strong background in Programming Languages/Development Frameworks such as C#.Net.
  • Experience in Web API Service/B2B Integration technologies such as SOAP/REST.
  • ITIL Certification will be favourable.
