It is responsible for identifying, assessing, and escalating potential money laundering and reputational risk issues associated with higher risk client types. The IM Financial Crimes Risk Team is considered the first line of defense and supports the onboarding, enhanced due diligence, and negative news processes for Morgan Stanley.The Heightened Risk Review Team VP will:Lead documented and timely reviews of higher risk customer populations.Contribute to development of related data analytics and coordinate with Technology partnersMaintain related review templates and inventoriesCommunicate review results to impacted stakeholdersSupport ad-hoc research and analysis requestsCoordinate relevant escalationsSupport Heightened Risk Review management with policy and procedure refinement and updatesDevelop concise and effective presentations for senior leadershipContribute to key projects and initiatives focused on assessing and mitigating the Firm’s exposure to money laundering and other financial crimes.Collaborate and engage with stakeholders including Business Leaders, Legal & Compliance, Risk, and Internal AuditRequired Experience and SkillsSignificant experience in financial crimes investigation, audit, or compliance monitoring/testing.Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or another related fieldTake initiative, analyze, summarize, and communicate effectively.Work independently and in a team environmentInvestigate, identify issues, impacts and trends to propose comprehensive solutionsDevelop internal relationships, influence stakeholders, and build consensusMultitask effectively, appropriately prioritize assignments, and action matters promptlyWork in a high volume, fast paced environmentHandle highly confidential information with appropriate discretionCertified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) designation is a plus.Advanced knowledge and experience using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPointWHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY:We are committed to maintaining the first-class service and high standard of excellence that have defined Morgan Stanley for over 85 years.
