  • Responsible for internal control and governance matters of Investment.
  • Responsible for submission and monitoring GL14 material outsourcing activities so to comply with regulatory guidelines.
  • Provide investment supports relating to control and governance including but not limited to third-party management process, investment mandates control, business contingency planning and other initiatives.

On the above work, there would be involvement into same subjects under other AIA entities when required.Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Report and update Investment Committee(s) and relevant Board(s) on IGF and related subjects and Asset/Portfolio Mandate approval/notification on regular basis.
  • Prepare Annual Certifications of Investment Standards/Policies/Procedures relating to the AIA Investment Governance Framework (IGF) Standards .
  • Update Corporate Policy Portal (CPP) where appropriate and maintain fit-for-purpose Governance Documents including areas of regulatory requirements, Investment Approval Authorities, and Investment Authorised Persons.
  • Handle Annual Risk and Control Assessment (RCA) and Quarterly Financial Controls Self-Assessment (FCSA) checklist / certification via eGRC system.
  • Ensure regular review of investment procedures (including Asset Owner’s Operation and Cash procedures) so to ensure effective controls and governance.
  • Prepare outsourcing materials for submission to the HK Outsourcing Committee (GL14) for regulatory approval/notification and handle any queries promptly and the third-party management process.
  • Manage and process (i) Threshold Exceedances, Breach, Error reporting and (ii) discrepancies / errors from various process/system (including but not limited to Crescent (for asset allocation monitoring), the CLMS (credit risk rating system), ERM Post-Trade Weekly Result email, Bloomberg monitoring and manual controls if applicable for Entity / Fund / Portfolio-level, and follow-up on remedial actions with relevant parties to close out. Maintain up-to-date log of error, breach, and Threshold Exceedances and good recordkeeping of Asset and Portfolio Mandates versions.
  • Be responsible to ensure the on-going monitoring of the service providers (especially for those registered as material outsourcing).
  • Handle FATCA matters and Bloomberg (or relevant investment system(s)) setup for new joiner and review Bloomberg access rights for existing users and coordinating with Compliance / Human Resources / Legal on KYC matters.
  • On the above work, there could be involvement into same subjects under other entities when required.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experiences in insurance and/or global financial institutions.
  • Self-motivated with strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Good command of written and spoken English; and
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as Bloomberg, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
