Job description: About the Role:
- As a P&L and Reconciliation Specialist joining our Market and Structural Risk department, you will be involved in analyzing, monitoring and reporting of economic P&L of Komercni Banka’s Investment Banking department. The scope of IB’s activities mainly includes trading of financial derivatives (such as currency and interest rate derivatives) and other products on financial and capital markets.
- In this role, you will closely cooperate with IB front-office and other teams across Komercni Banka and Société Générale (Finance, IT, Business Management Office etc.). You will deepen your expertize in the area of financial and capital markets‘ products and their valuation, as well as your advanced analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily analysis and reporting of Investment Banking economic P&L and P&L explanation
- Various analyses related to the P&L and valuations (detailed mark-to-market breakdown, sales margins and profitability analysis etc.)
- Reconciliation between economic and accounting P&L
- Other regular and ad-hoc reporting (monthly reports, processing of valuation adjustments etc.)
- Participation in PRIBOR contribution
- Participation in project activities (analyses and testing related to the new IB core system implementation)
Expected skills and experience:
- Experience in a similar position (such as financial and capital markets analyst, market risk analyst, trading analyst) is an advantage, but not a must
- Master’s degree in finance, mathematics or technical field
- Advanced level of English (min. B2), which will be used on a daily basis
- Advanced analytical and independent problem solving skills
- Good verbal communication skills with the flexibility to communicate and build relationships with cooperating departments
- Curiosity, enthusiasm, self-motivation and ability to work independently
- Strong sense of teamwork
Technical Knowledge:
- Knowledge of financial market products and their valuation
- Advanced Excel (must-have)
- SQL and data mining, ability to work with database systems and big data
- VBA and Python programming (nice to have)
