You will contribute to this by:The role of an Inventory Controller is to direct, co-ordinate, supervise and achieve service objectives regarding customer inventory, ensuring that tasks are completed in the most efficient manner, in line with agreed standards in operational procedures, national strategy and in a manner ensuring regulatory and legislative compliance at all times.As the Inventory Controller may also perform any duties or functions that are ancillary to the Distribution Centre’s (DC) operation, plan activities and coordinate with others with sound attention to detail to ensure effective application of business processes on a day-to-day basis, identify, evaluate and develop opportunities to introduce innovative or more efficient methods or processes leading to improvements in customer experience and/or internal efficiency.Duties and Responsibilities / a day in the life of the Inventory Controller –Plan activities and coordinate with others with sound attention to detail to ensure effective application of business processes on a day-to-day basis.Identify, evaluate and develop opportunities to introduce innovative or more efficient methods or processes leading to improvements in customer experience and/or internal efficiency.Ensure all inventory on site is accounted for and always stored correctly physically and logically and conduct regular site checks on any “orphaned” stock to be reported to management, fully investigated and resolved.Conduct daily cycle counts following a pre-defined schedule.Monitor accuracy of receiving and put away and provide reporting, analysis and recommendations to management for action.Carry out all accountabilities within the operation and process frameworks, work together with all key stakeholders to exemplify leadership in inventory management.What You’ll Need to Succeed:Previous and proven Inventory Controller experience within a similar role within Transport/Logistics industry.An analytical mind-set – strong ability to problem solve.Exceptional communication skills – written and verbal.Computer literacy skills – MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, and Outlook.High attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines within a time-pressured environment.Warehouse Management Systems exposure and experience.Join us and take your career to new heights in the fast-paced world of logistics!What moves you?At Toll, you can help play a vital role in delivering what matters.
