We’re doing it with our customers and communities as Australia’s energy infrastructure partner, a role our unique experience and expertise positions us to play.We now have an exciting opportunity available for an Inventory Controller to join our Supply Chain team in Brisbane, Melbourne or Perth office on a full-time permanent basis.Reporting to the Inventory Lead you will be responsible for providing strategic inventory management services and support nationally for APA transmission, power, and renewable assets.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain appropriate contacts and relationships at all levels within the Transmission, Power and Renewables business units and externally with suppliersKeep abreast of innovations in cataloguing and or inventory management best practice and making recommendations for improvements to the Operations, Infrastructure Development, Transmission, Power and Renewables business unitsSupport cataloguing of new or existing items by the Infrastructure Development, Transmission, Power, & Renewables business and maintaining the integrity to the Maximo item catalogueMaintain integrity, including optimisation of Maximo inventory data and timely processing of requests for updates/ additions/ changes for the Transmission, Power, Midstream & Renewables business unitsDeliver inventory services supporting day to day inventory, purchasing, materials handling & packaging/ warehousing/ transportation activities for the Infrastructure Development Transmission, Power, Midstream & Renewables business unitsYour backgroundQualifications in supply chain, inventory management and/or logisticsExtensive experience in inventory, cataloguing and warehousing preferably in a similar industry or environmentComputer literacy – intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft OfficeContemporary knowledge of inventory, cataloguing and warehouse practices and trends, ideally in gas, oil or mining sectorsAdvanced working knowledge of Maximo and other ERP’sAbout the TeamThe Supply Chain team exists to support Operations in safely operating APA Power, Transmission and Renewable assets in an efficient and cost-effective manner to enable APA to achieve its business strategy and goals, extract maximum value from its assets, and deliver value for its customers.To help APA Securing Australia’s Energy Future, the Operations teams focus is on Our People, Operational Excellence and Creating Value.
