Job description: Inventory Controller to manage and oversee inventory operations across the entire business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining optimal stock levels, ensuring accurate stock movement across all retail and warehouse locations, and ensuring compliance with inventory policies and procedures. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively with various teams to optimize inventory across the business.Key Responsibilities:Oversee and manage all inventory operations, ensuring accurate stock levels across retail and warehouse locations.Monitor stock movements and track inventory across multiple systems to ensure timely and accurate stock updates.Develop and implement inventory control systems, procedures, and policies to ensure effective inventory management.Ensure stock is efficiently organized, labeled, and stored according to company standards and industry best practices.Conduct regular stock audits and physical inventory counts, reconciling any discrepancies between system records and physical stock.Monitor and report on stock levels, highlighting any issues such as overstocking, stockouts, or slow-moving products.Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to manage stock replenishment and ensure product availability based on demand forecasts.Track and manage stock aging, and work to prevent stock obsolescence by ensuring timely rotation and removal of outdated or expired products.Maintain accurate records of stock transactions, including receiving, stock transfers, and adjustments.Lead and support the team in optimizing stock processes to reduce inventory costs while maintaining product availability.Coordinate with the retail and warehouse teams to ensure smooth and efficient inventory turnover.Identify inventory bottlenecks or inefficiencies and implement solutions to address them.Manage and control stock across multiple locations, ensuring seamless distribution to retail stores and warehouses.Generate inventory reports for senior management, providing insights into stock levels, turnover rates, and inventory performance.Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, as well as internal inventory policies.
Provide training and support to team members on inventory management best practices and systems.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in inventory control, ideally within a retail or warehouse environment.Strong understanding of inventory management principles, systems, and best practices.Proven experience in managing stock across multiple locations, including warehouses and retail stores.Experience with inventory management systems (e.g., D365, SAP, Oracle) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reporting.Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.Ability to analyze and optimize inventory processes to reduce costs and improve stock efficiency.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.Ability to troubleshoot and resolve inventory-related issues quickly and effectively.Experience in managing stock aging, stock movement, and handling discrepancies.Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing inventory challenges.
