Job description: Key Responsibilities

  • Process contractor invoices and payments accurately and within agreed timelines.
  • Verify and validate contractor payment details, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Handle currency conversions and manage payment processing in multiple currencies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as Delivery, Compliance and Finance, to ensure seamless payment workflows.
  • Maintain accurate records of contractor payments and generate regular reports.
  • Stay informed about regulatory requirements and tax implications related to contractor payments.
  • Address contractor queries regarding payments and resolve any issues promptly.

General

  • Providing cover for colleagues in times of absence, including the Accounts Manager.
  • Maintaining confidentiality always.
  • The post will be subject to annual developmental reviews.
  • The post holder is expected to keep themselves updated at all times on relevant policies relating to Project Recruit as well as external influences, such as relevant current legislation.
  • Where you are a member of a professional body you are required to confirm to the professional standards set by that body. You are required to ensure your registration is current and you practice continual professional development.
  • The job holder will do all tasks within his/her level of skill and ability.
  • This is an outline job description and may be subject to change, according to the needs of the service, in consultation with the post holder

About You

  • Proven experience in contractor payment processing or a related financial administration role.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets accurately.
  • Proficiency in using payment processing systems and MS Office (particularly Excel).
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with contractors and internal stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and solving issues before they arise.
