As we continue to grow and expand our business, we are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Internal Controls Auditor to join our team.The Internal Controls Auditor will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and compliance within the time management and payroll processes of Bidvest Noonan. The role will involve conducting regular audits, analysing payroll data and collaborating with various departments to resolve control weaknesses and implement improvements. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of payroll procedures, exceptional analytical skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and confidentiality.The Internal Controls Auditor is a key role in the business as we look to embed the recently introduced Internal Control Framework. The successful candidate will be an ambitious independent thinker and they will leverage their proven experience in payroll processes and controls to deliver an improved control environment. They will play a critical role in optimizing processes and enhancing efficiency across the organization.Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular internal reviews/audits of time management and payroll records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and relevant legislations.
• Analyse the payroll data to identify discrepancies, errors, and potential areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with the payroll team to resolve issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Stay informed about changes in payroll legislation, regulations, and best practices, ensuring company compliance.
• Assist in the development and implementation of improved time management and payroll processes, procedures, and controls to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure that the Internal Controls within the payroll and time management processes and systems are operating effectively. Manage and review control effectiveness in these areas as outlined in the Internal Controls Framework.
• Provide support during internal or external payroll audits, providing insights, responding to inquiries, and preparing documentation, as required.
• Generate reports and presentations summarizing audit findings, trends, and recommendations for Exco review.
• Maintain confidentiality of payroll information and handle sensitive data with the utmost discretion.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve overall payroll operations.

Skills & Experience required

• Excellent interpersonal skills, and good communication ability, with a proven record of partnering with internal and external stakeholders.
• 3+ years of experience in payroll processing, auditing, or related roles.
• Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in payroll & time management software and strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
• High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Certification in payroll is preferred but not required.
• BA in Finance / Accounting / Business Administration, or a related field is preferred but not required.
