Job description: JOB DESCRIPTION: The Segregation-of-Duties (SoD) Officer role assists the PGC Manager, thus, requires basic business awareness with good communication and diplomacy skills in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues from other areas, and occasional external customers. Provides as well advice and counsel related to the IT operations of the business. Assists in designing policies and procedures according to the business requirements of Phinma CMG related to IT governance. Validates internal control based on the designed SoD and roles assigned to employees in the system – Oracle, HR Pro, Zendesk, Google Documents, etc. A. SoD Matrix Documentation Planning Conducts a comprehensive inventory of existing SoD matrices, either prior to the annual planning or upon instruction from the PGC Manager. Collects and organizes available documents, ensuring secure storage in the designated shared drive. Prepares and submits the documentation inventory results to the PGC Manager for planning and prioritization. B. Execution of SoD Matrix Documentation Priorities Implements documentation initiatives aligned with the priorities identified and agreed upon to the PGC Manager. C. Conflict Identification and Risk Assessment Conducts risk assessments of user access across systems to identify SoD conflicts. Assesses the severity of identified conflicts and recommends mitigating controls when necessary. Prepares SoD risk assessments and reports findings to the PGC Manage through ICAAR. D. Validation of SoD, Role Assignment, and Access Rights in the OC System The validation of SoD and access rights in the OC system triggers either during role or access changes, during system implementation or upgrade, or when issues or red flags arise. The role covers the following key activities: Reviews system access rights and role configurations to ensure that no individual is given excessive or conflicting authority that could compromise internal controls. Ensures that internal controls are consistently enforced through proper role segregation, thereby minimizing risks such as fraud, error, or unauthorized transactions. Evaluates whether access privileges are appropriately assigned based on job responsibilities. Detects potential SoD violation during validation process. Reports violations to the PGC Manager. E. Investigation and Remediation of SoD Violations Investigates and reports instances of SoD violations or system overrides and recommends corrective actions. Follows up with stakeholders to ensure that SoD risks are resolved or adequately mitigated within an acceptable time frame. JOB SPECIFICATIONS: Graduate of Computer Science or any business course can be considered if has an equivalent knowledge gained through training or through experience. At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in developing Segregation-of-Duties (SoD) Minimum 3 years supervisory experience Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and Excel. Must be residing near Rockwell, Makati City, SKILLS AND COMPETENCY REQUIRED: Self-motivated with the ability to demonstrate leadership, challenging, and influencing change. Willing to travel or be mobile as needed. Familiarity with internal control frameworks and documentation standards. Knowledge of the transaction cycle of the business and back office, support processes.
