& OFFICE OF RISK, ASSURANCE, AND COMPLIANCEThe role/Te mahiThis is a unique and exciting opportunity that combines internal audit with financial control in a dynamic, dual-reporting role.In one capacity, you will report to the Financial Controller as part of a collaborative team, supporting complex accounting, budgeting, taxation, and broader financial operations. In the other, you will report to the Head of Risk, Assurance, and Compliance, contributing to a wide range of internal audit projects.As a part-time Senior Financial Accountant, you will bring strategic financial and group accounting expertise, supporting the team with accurate monthly and annual reporting.
Other responsibilities include budget and forecasting processes, addressing operational and taxation matters, and enhancing internal control systems.As a part-time Internal Auditor, you will identify, assess, and mitigate risks while ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures. About our team/Mō te tīmaTe Kōhanga Hōmiromiro, the Office of Risk, Assurance and Compliance, provide services across all areas of the university’s business, including, Risk management, Internal audit, Emergency management, Legal compliance, and Assurance.Te Ratoka Pūtea, the Financial Services Division plays a crucial role in ensuring financial stability and efficiency through key functions, including Financial Accounting Services, Management Accounting Services, Procurement, and Financial Systems.Further details/PūrokoThese two roles are permanent, part-time, each at 0.5 FTE. Combined, they form a permanent full-time position (37.5 hours) located in Ōtepoti, Dunedin.The appointments range for this role is $98,298 to $106,663.
