Job description: We are looking for a skilled SOX Compliance Contractor to join our client’s team in a hybrid role for a period of up to 6 months. You will be responsible for performing control assessments, evaluating the design of internal controls, and determining their effectiveness in supporting financial reporting compliance. This is a key role within the organization’s financial risk management framework. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in SOX testing, a strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying improvement opportunities.Advantages

Conduct evaluations of internal control systems and financial reporting processesPerform testing to assess the design and operating efficiency of financial controlsDocument and report on the results of control assessments, ensuring compliance with audit standardsCollaborate with stakeholders to identify and address control deficiencies and recommend improvementsMonitor and track the progress of remediation effortsEvaluate the impact of new accounting standards on internal control processesEnsure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirementsContribute to continuous improvement efforts within the compliance frameworkQualifications
Qualifications:A minimum of 5 years related experience -internal audit experience, or 3 years in public accounting or consultingProfessional Accounting Designation is highly preferredExperience in the manufacturing sector is a plusPractical experience with SOX testing, particularly with manual control assessmentsStrong written and verbal communication skillsMeticulous attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality deliverablesAbility to think critically and offer innovative solutionsStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across teamsSummary
